FUL MEDAMES -pronounced (Fool Ma-dah-mahs)

       Well ful medames are well served with a salad of cucumber,carrot,and eaten with
         a Egyptian bread ,very quick and easy recipes  enjoyable and light

                                                               Prep time 5 mins


  • 1 can Fava Beans
  • 30g tomato( 1 small )
  • 15g onion(1/8 small onion)
  • I clove garlic crushed
  • 1 sprig Parsley
  • 1tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin ground
  • 1/4 salt to taste


step 1    heat the beans in a bowl in the microwave or in pot on stove.

step 2   Drain the beans and put into a bowl,save the liquid to use later.

step 3    Add tomatoes,onion,garlic,lemon juice,olive oil,cumin and salt
             in a bowl with the beans.Mash all together to a thick consistency
             you want,if yo thick add remaining liquid left from beans.

step 4   do the seasoning to how you like it In taste , Using a spoon make
             wave patern on top of surface.

step 5   Cover with Olive oil and serve with Egyptian bread ...can have also
           pickled vegetables
