Lamb and chickpea Curry

Lamb and chicken pea curry is like easy recipes and  very enjoyable meal ,giving you
 the Spicy flavour of India..very delicious and exotic Serve with side dish of yogurt
                              ,banana,cucumber and Pappadams

  Prep time 10 mins Cooking 25 mins


  • 1 tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 brown onion thinly sliced
  • 500g lamb leg steaks cut into 3cm pieces
  • 1/2 cup curry paste
  • 5 tomatoes or 400g tin tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 400g chickpeas rinsed and drained 1/2 tsp caster sugar
  • 75g baby spinach
  • Steamed baptismal rice
  • Poppadoms to serve
  • Natural yogurt to serve
  • Coriander leaves to serve


step 1     Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.Cook the onion,stirring
              for 5 minutes or until golden.Add the Lamb and cook for 2-3 minutes 
              or until browned

step 2   Add the curry paste and cook,stirring for 2 minutes or until Lamb is coated
           and paste is aromatic.Add the tomatoes,1/2 cup(125 ml) water,coconut cream
          ,chickpeas and sugar.Stir to combine,bring to boil.Reduce heat to low and simmer
           uncovered  for 15 mins.Stir through the spinach until weltered.

step 3   Divide the curry into bowls serve with the rice,poppadoms and yogurt and
           coriander leaves
